9-5 is a nice car unless yours is not appeasable to the eye ( scratches, dents, mechanical failures, etc ). My wife has been giving me a hard time about my 99 9-5SE. I've worked on it's mechanical problems more than what I expected to. When I moved to Puerto Rico I ended paying $9630.00 excise tax plus about $230.00 registration and plates. This really put a burden on my finances, but, I had no other choice since the car was already shipped and I owed it. What else...179,000 miles later I'm currently getting my clutch, slaycylinder, clutch pedal cylinder replaced, pending to do some head gasket job in the future. Somehow I'm getting by with the SAABster.
It's probably cheaper to keep her. In the long run the car will be paid off and you'll still be driving a nice car as long as you can maintain patience and DIY jobs.
