I understand where you are comming from, becasue I too am having the same vibration issue with my '03 9-5 Aero.
But, I have to disagree with you about the quality/refinement of our 9-5's. If you read the link below, not only was the 9-5 moved up from the Entry level Luxury group to the Mid-Luxury group with the 5-series and E-class, it also beat both of them and won the Best Mid-Luxury Car in the 2001 J.D. Power and Associates (IQS)! I also know that Benz has been having horrible reliability problems lately, much worst than that of our Saabs. So, I believe the reasons Saab's aren't priced accordingly is because they dont carry the fancy nameplate(teutonic), and the fact that they were bought and backed by GM(American). Look at Volvo(Ford), they dont have $50-$100k cars either. Would you buy a $100k Saab or Volvo, or any American car for that matter? I wouldn't and I love Saabs!!!
If Saab was bought out by someone else, lets say Porsche, then they might just become the equal to their Teutonic rivals that they have been after for so long!
Just my .02
