I bought an 01 Aero - it's been a fantastic car. However, after I bought it, I noticed that the left headlight wiper did not operate. The SAAB dealer (was still under warranty) told me that the car had a small accident that broke the shaft - he showed me some repaint and wrinkled skin that had been repaired.

Before I bought the car and after checking carfax I had asked the broker (a lease return dealer)specifically if the car had been hit and he looked me straight in the eye and said "NO". It turns out that many dealers like him will take the lease returns that SAAB will not (usually because of an accident). I returned to the dealer and told him that I would slander his name all over the Internet, the BBB, the State Department of Licensing and Consummer Affairs, the chamber of commerce, and every venue that will hear me out. I told him that it would become my life goal to cause him 1000 time more expense than he caused me because of his lie.

He gave me 1000 dollars back and a new wiper motor. Otherwise The Aero has been flawless for several years now (currently at 55K miles).
