Wow, you are the first person that I have encountered that also has Cooper Zeon tires on a 95. I bought my Aero used and the dealer had put these on the car new. I have had them for a while and so far all is fine - highway noise level is not too bad, dry traction seems to be real solid, and they seem to wear well.

I think the 17 inch tires is the reason for the stiff ride and would not expect another tire this size to ride much better.

Do the Zeons seem a little weak in wet traction or is it the 230 hp spinning them out my problem?

I skimmed a median curb at a fairly good clip and a bubble formed in the tire - a few days later it deflated. Luckily I had ordered another tire on the Internet. One drawback is that nobody carries that tire stock in a local shop.

Let me know if you want to compare notes on this issue. I would be interested in what you ultimately decide to do.
