well, I bought a sony ericson kit that I dislike, and will return. Then I bought a parrot CK3000 evolution, which is better, but not as easy as it should be to install.

I really wanted to use the built in mic, had to switch pin one to pin two on the mic itself to get it to work.

I was hoping to use the ISO plugs that came with the parrot, but there really was no way to get the ISO plugs plugged into the saab harness and the radio. I tried pulling the pins out of the saab harness and was going to swap a bunch of things around. But when I tested everything with the ISO plugs plugged into the radio the sound quality was awful. Because the radio does not see this as a telephone input I wasn't able to adjust the default volume, so the signal was very loud and distorted.

Since I already had purchased the saab phone harness (tell the dealer you own a 9-3) I took the green and blue wires on the parrot and ran in into the saab phone harness.

So, my experiment has shown that on my cars (2002 aeros)the plug and play capability of the parrot doesn't work as well as it should. I'll be swapping the other car over from the sony system to the parrot over the weekend, that should be a 30 minute job.
