well, they are obviosuly 2 very different cars. the Lucerne feels great. it feels like a nice suit...in a cheesy way. from the feel of the leather (which is the best feeling leather i have felt in a car so far under $70k, to the clunk of the door closing, it feels good.
it isnt as sporty, obviosuly. but it goes where you want, when you want. 275 HP is plenty. it doesnt handly like your on rails, but the ride is great...soft w/o being too soft, sporty but not too sporty, in a way. the 9-5 feels faster with the turbo, but also more sluggish.
the lucerne has everything and more you could want on it. i thought the cooled eats worked better then then 2006 9-5 i tested. my biggest drawback with the car is the lack of HID's. there is more legroom in front and back in the Lucerne. the next biggest problem, imo is ...while i think its the best looking Buick to date it could easily get lost in the sea of sedans. that is where the 9-5 has one advantage. that and i am pretty sure i would feel more comfortable owning a Buick as far as reliability goes.
the 9-5 is more of a niche car...
i love both cars.
