It is much easier to get at the screw from the bottom, though you can do it from the top. I used a 1/4" drive ratchet. It takes a T30 Torx IIRC. As I mentioned in a separte post below, make sure you get the old O-ring out of there with the old sensor. Putting a little motor oil on the outside of the sensor makes it easier to slip into place, and anti-sieze on the screw and heatshield retaining nut is a good idea as well.
