Pulsing Engine Posted by Joe [Email] (#444) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Joe) on Mon, 27 Mar 2006 15:11:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 1999 9-5, SE V-6, great car, love driving it. Posted a message previously about car running rough. Had check engine light come on, read misfire in cylinder 6. Changed plugs, replaced ignition cassette in front (was told cylinder 6 is in cassette near front of car), appeared to not do anything so replaced back cassette. Car ran fine after changing plugs and am unsure if new cassette did anything in the back either. Now, the car pulses when put into reverse or forward then runs fine. Have read this awesome website and my symptoms indicate maybe a bad throttle body. If so, where can I purchase one. I'm not nearly skilled as a mechanic, although can change a ignition cassette in 3 minutes, and am wondering if I can change a throttle body myself.
Tired of being ripped off by dishonest mechanics!
thanks in advance for your help
