If you don't know squat about cars or how to spot bodywork, than an inspection by an independent might be worthwile, but if you know cars than an independent's inspection might be overkill. The car is under the original factory warranty and most dealers are fairly rigorous with their CPO inspections. The dealer should be able to show you the Saab inspection sheet with the actual measurments of the wear items like brakes and tires and a quality dealer should have retouched the exterior including repainting the front spoiler and having a dent guy take out any parking lot dings. If those kind of things don't fall into place than seek an independent's advice.
The dealer should also be able to show you that the 10, 20 and major 30k services were completed as they were included with the car and are listed in the service/warranty history. I wouldn't sweat the 40k inspection not being done until 42k when the car was CPO'd if it otherwise checks out.
