If you do a search there is a lot of information on this. Typical things are
the SID (SAAB information display) the pixels go so scroll through the menus
and check for any voids on display. Another thing is the rear shocks, sometimes they leak oil so check that, also some cars have minor oil leak problem so look under the car, if you see little oil or "wetness" have them look into it, the fix is usually retorqking of some bolts. The emblems crack and peel off over time, it could easily be replaced, the DI cassette goes often and there was a recent recall so make sure it was replaced, and make sure there are no fault messages on the information display.
That is all I can think off right now so good luck to you. I love my AERO it is really fast and fan to drive, it is also one of the safe fest cars in the market, very comfortable and handles very well. After owning this car for 3 years there is nothing else that I would like to have, except for maybe a 2002 AERO which has better seats and sway bars. There are many modifications you can do to the car to boost HP, you can check it on http://www.genuinesaab.com
Enjoy,
Rony
