I love my OBDII scan tool! I paid more for my Actron than you did (thru Amazon), but it's saved me a ton of dough on diagnosis. Just last week, my 2000lpt wagon threw a CEL. I was able to quckly identify the intake air temp sensor as the culprit, but following the test instructions in WIS yielded normal sensor values at idle. Freeze frame data on the scan tool showed failure at 200f coolant temp, so I went for a drive w/ tool connected in "real time" mode. Sure enough, sensor failed on freeway at cruising speed (open circuit) and "reset" itself as car cooled.
Tool was worth more than cost I paid just for the satisfaction / ego boost of fixing my own ride. If only I could afford a Tech II!!!!
