So now you have determined that it is infact the +50 signal to starter solenoid that is gone.

The next step would be to find the starter relay (driver side under dash, remove kick panel) and hook up the test light to two of the four pins on starter relay.

I would at this point hook up a bulb between pin 86 and ground on starter relay and between pin 85 and battery power on the same relay.

When the next no start occurs, if both bulbs are illuminated but the engine is not cranking over, you have ruled out that the alarm unit is good and the gear selector switch is good and it leaves you with a bad starter relay, a bad power feed from battery to starter relay or a bad power feed from relay to starter solenoid.

If the bulb attached to pin 86 is dead when the problem occurs, the culprit could be a bad gear selector switch, ignition switch, fuse 30 or wiring in between.

If the bulb attached to pin 85 is dead, it could be a bad TWICE unit, antenna ring around ignition key, wiring in between or something else disturbing the TWICE unit on the network wires and making the TWICE conk out.

I hope you have a better understanding now what the mechanics go through day after day with problem cars and why we need to charge for diagnostic.
