After reading the many postings for 9-5 Areo's tendency to eat rotors, I know that we are not alone. Yesterday we replaced all four brake pads and the front two rotors for $750. At 27,000 miles.

I realize that brakes do wear out but I have a huge issue with the Dealership who has done all of our maintenance up to now (will change after this) does the oil/lube at 25,000 and says - next check (40,000) we will look at the brakes.

What also puzzles/concerns me is that the pads were still OK - it was the rotors that were grinding down to nothing. I would think this would be considered a flaw of the rotors and a recall would be done.

Good to know that we are not alone though. Meanwhile our other car that is driven 3x as hard is still on the original brakes at almost 100k.....
