Was driving on Highway 17 from San Jose to Santa Cruz when the CEL light came on. Also the temp. gauge suddenly stopped working, the needle was in the bottom position. When I saw the CEL I was thinking of the cat. converter, because a few weeks ago one of the DICs failed. I've read that when the DIC fails some unburned gas gets into the cat. converter and it dies because of it. But the temp. gauge doesn't fit that pattern. Anyway turned around and drove back home. Don't feel any power loss so it doesn't look like a major malfunction. Back home I started the car again and now the temp. gauge is working again, but CEL remains on. Looks like I need to call BB Saab tomorrow.
Any ideas?
