From our experience the DI recall is just what it purports to be. Free replacement of a defective part by the manufacture. We've experienced no IDM failure on either of our two 9.5 SW's but have had one replaced by the dealer and the Aero it about to take its turn. Search this board for many posts evidencing ignition cassette failures and unpleasant consequences. To us, its an illustration of the Traffic and Motor Safety Vehicle Act working and SAAB cooperating. Certainly not a "sham".
