Here is what I did:

1. Located the drains under the car - just plain hose ends coming through the under pan about a foot from the side under each front door. Blew air up through them and immediately a whole bunch of water drained out.
2. Took glove box out and proceeded to change out cabin filter.
3. With the glove box out and the "kick plate" removed, I could see how to peel back the carpet by the console without damaging it. There are some clamps and some "tabs" cut into the carpet edge and inserted into slots.
4. As others have posted, once the carpet is peeled away, the hose can be seen coming from under the evaporator on both the passenger and driver side of the console and there is a joint where the hose size steps down. Some suggest unclamping the larger hose and clean out at that point, but I never have much luck with those clamps, so I just pulled the hoses apart at a plastic "joint" at the other end of the "step down" piece. Then I blew air down through the hose to the bottom of the car and then up through the other piece going back to the evaporator. I also tried fishing a wire up toward the evaporator (it's a pretty straight shot from there), but didn't find any gunk or anything. The plastic joint at that point in the hose was very convenient and I assume it was manufactured that way - but don't know for sure.
5. Now that I know about this problem it'll be easy to keep an eye on the drains to make sure they are dripping when the AC runs. I am betting that blowing them out from underneath periodically will prevent another wet carpet episode.

Some of this may sound confusing, but it will make more sense if you're taking things apart and looking at it. Hope this helps.
