Hello,
I wanted to thank all of you who had posted in response to my fair price for 2004 arc/2003 aero post. I ended up purchasing a 2004 arc wagon with 29K on it and cpo'd till 2010. I purchased it at Roberti saab. Ron helped me locate the car that I wanted. I had gone there initially to test drive a 2003 aero and while I was there I also test drove a 2004 arc. Both were sedans with auto and of the two I preferred the aero. It had a much more nailed down feel to it like Mike Lynch mentioned and the seats were really comfortable. After driving the two sedans I looked at a wagon and pretty much decided that the wagon would be much more useful so I asked Ron if he could locate a wagon in the two colors I was looking for(Polar white and hazelnut) in either an 03 aero model or an 04 arc model. He was able to only locate an 04 arc model (white w/ tan interior). It had a bunch of options on it(harmon kardon stereo, rear park assist, auto dimming mirror w/compass and garage door openers, auto dimming rear view mirrors, rain sensing wipers) no xenon lights or 17" wheels though. The interior had been well used so they detailed it twice(I still need to shampoo the back carpet) they also fixed and odd little bump in the rear quarterpanel right above the light about the size of a dime. They also replaced the brakes and rotors. According to IRIS the car had its 15K and 30K services. The car drives straight and true and brakes incredibly. I prefer the sport mode as the shifting feels crisper as you press on the accelerator. In the normal mode the transmission seems kind of relaxed. The turbo takes a little getting used to. I traded in my old car (toyota corolla 93 with 180K) got 200 bucks for it and no headache to get rid of it. The final price was 22,700 with the trade in. I am still gettting used to this vehicle so I would appreciate any response in regards to the transmission and how it feels in the normal mode, ie is "relaxed" a normal feeling? I was also curious about the 3year/36K maintanence program. If the 30K service has been done is that it in terms of free maintanence or is there additional perks in there? The car is extremely comfortable to drive and I like it alot. Thanks again.
