Yup...put off servicing my 2003 9-5 long enough for the oil light to come on while traveling on the Turnpike. Sick to my stomach doesn't come close to describing how I feel. Anyway, long story short, a local Saab dealership says the engine is toast due to sludge. The engine didn't seize up so I'm wondering if I have other options at this point. Is it realy toast at this point? I know it is not a warranty issue because this is 100% my fault. However, I don't want to throw in the proverbial towel if other options exist. Old school types tell me a little kerosene in an oil change might clear it out. While that probably is ok for an old Chevy 350 I have to believe that would be a mistake here. Yes? I also understand products like Auto RX can be helpful. Please advise. Thank you.
