Well, my sunroof drains got clogged water entered the car, poof no more radio in my 99 9-5. Which I guess is sort of a good thing, I have wanted to upgrade it for a while. I plan on getting one of new dash cubbies from genuine saab in order install a 1 din radio, but that really doesn't solve my problem.
I would like to keep the amp that is in the vehicle, someone had stated that the stock amp has rca inputs which is perfect for after markets head units? Is this true? How many inputs? Where the h#ll is the amp located?
What happens if i just wire the new radio to the old harness? Am I simply amplifying the speakers x2 at that point? Any disadvantages to this?
Any help would be appreciated, and yes i am doing this myself!
