On the WIS picture in the middle of small plate there is a circe. This circle is the end of a small connection rod and has 2-3 mm play measured at the arc of the plate. (At least on the used turbos) If the arm moves down (because of gravity )the plate can turn\move CCW for a few degrees and its bottom passes the housing of the turbo. If you want to turn back the arm the rod wants to turn the disk CW and there is no room for it, it stucks.
So to unhook: turn the arm and the disk CCW WITHOUT STRESSING the components.
