It is easier to install on the earlier cars (pre 2002?) like ours because the grill is easily removable with just two screws on the radiator support.
Plan on cutting off the old band clamp (hose clamp) connecting the intake pipe to the air filter housing, and replacing with new, as mine was too corroded to loosen with the screw.
I noticed an immediate improvement in power. Not in "off the line" acceleration, but when accelerating from highway speeds. This summer, even with the 100 degree temps Detroit is currently experiencing, I feel less turbo lag than last year. It may be due inpart to better breathing on the intake side of the turbo as result of this new pipe.
