Well, it seams a counter balance is needed then. I'm not really complaining, but so far I'm not very impressed with my 2000 95 wagon 2.3T with 65k miles. We bought it about 3 years ago. SID was fortunately replaced while still under warranty. The Oil pressure sensor had to be replaced recently when it started causing an oil leak. Just in the last week had to pull off the sunroof air deflector due to very poor design (local authorized service center wanted $2,500 to repair and didn't have the decency to suggest just removing this part). I'm having to dig into the dash to resolve AC/heat malfunctions, again because the local rep is not trustworthy ($1,400 for this one). The turbo is getting a little blow by when first started, and is lacking the power it used to have 10-15k miles ago especially when it is hot out. So I'm headed towards a turbo rebuild/replace soon enough. My city/hwy milleage is around 21-24MPG. In retrospect I would have found one with a V6. By my individual experience it seams more like a Ford. And boy do I wish I had a simple Ford AC/heat system right now; this complex Saab system is for the birds. My CRX with 200k miles almost never complains in comparison. And yes, the Saab gets regular maintenance.
