I have the Akebono pads for the 9-5. I just put them on my wife's 2002 Aero a few months ago. I am amazed at how clean the rims have stayed. I used to use the wheels as a guage for when to wash the car. Now the poor thing gets washed much less often.
I can't wait to buf and wax it however. I haven't done it in about a year.
