Hi there...
I have a 1999 Saab 9-5 Wagon (4 cyl.) with about 200k miles on it and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with the codes I pulled. I actually had 4 codes come up: P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), P0300 (random misfire), P1390 (not quite sure), P1304 (EGR calibration high)
The symptoms of the car are that its running VERY rough (it sounds like a Harley or VW bug), it runs extra rough when gas is given, it idles down pretty low and feels like it wants to die when its a stop and when the A/C is running the smell of exhaust is very strong.
I've been doing a little research online and it seems like a lot of things point to a bad DI cassette. I'm basically trying to figure out what obviously needs to be replaced before I give up and take it to the shop. I just spent about $2800 this year on miscellaneous items so I'm very eager to try and do the work myself.
Any help or suggestions that anyone has would be very much appreciated.
thanks!
Carey
