I bought a new leftover 2004 9-5 Arc sedan in February 2005 from BRI Imports in Oklahoma City. It was one of two loaded Arcs he had at the time.
Espresso Black w/ Tan Interior
Automatic Transmission
Heated/Ventilated Front Seats
Moon Roof
HK Audio System
Xenon Headlights
Interior Auto Dimming Mirror (No auto dimming side mirrors)
Homelink
No OnStar
MSRP was $41,000+
Selling price $30,250 + Doc Fee $89.00
(I also paid $850 to have the car shipped by car carrier in 5 days from Oklahoma to where I live in Connecticut.
When I bought my car, dealers here in Connecticut (and elsewhere in the Northeast) had a lot of the more basic 2004 9-5 Arc Sedans that had been Enterprise rental cars with 4,000-15,000 miles on them. Asking prices ranged between $33,750-$36,000.
I understand Mike's comments a dealer not wanting to take a loss... but I would think that with 2007 cars almost here, soon to be leftover 2006 cars around, not to mention the few leftover 2005 cars that are still available, that 2004 is quickly becoming a dog... especially if it has been sitting outside the whole time. I'm surprised it hasn't become a service loaner.
