I have had less than 50% success with the short belt so I stopped doing it except IF a customer really wants it.
It is less money in labor and parts to install the short belt due to that you don't need to deal with the center pulley but just leave it alone hanging there.
Technically, the vibrations are more or less always present on these cars but the long belt and the center pulley will cover it up enough on the bad ones so that you don't notice as much.
The good cars are the ones that can take the short belt without complaining, but they seem to be few.
And with the work involved taking the motor mount bracket on and off I don't want to gamble anymore.
