200hp V6 or 220hp 2.3 four, you could like either. The 220hp four has more total power and better fuel economy. Most folks like the low end grunt of the V6 appreciate the smoothness.

The 2002 Arcs all had the V6, premium package and vented seats, all you'd ever need and then some. 2004 Arc were only the 220hp four and everthing was a stand alone option and more options were availible.

The premium package is nice stuff. Memory seats(the tip off, if it has memory drivers seat it has the prem pkg), auto dim mirror, and the fabulous Harmon Kardon sound. For 2002 touring packages with xenons, park assist and rain sensing wipers were rare. For 2004 touring package was still not common, but there were a few more. Also for 2004 the sport package with the 17" double three spokes were availible, no sport suspension to go with it though, and I believe vented seats were also availible.

So what does the 2004 have? Much as I admire the V6 I'm a way old Saaber and I love the fours.

The 2004 seems to be a better buy, according to my price guides, "book" is about $3k more. And there's likely some factory warranty left. Likely not so with the 2002. Both are good buys. Premium package and other options, color and condition might override that. Tough call.
