Well just to let everyone else know my experience. I took the car to Jim Ellis Saab of Marietta. Very good experience.

They had no trouble in doing the IDM swap and I asked them to update the software as I'm sure mines pretty old. I did have to pay an hours worth of labor ($102), but I expected as much.
Within an hour they had the IDM swapped, software updated and even washed the car for me.

They asked me if I wanted them to change out the spark plugs ($90) - NO THANKS! - I'll do that myself at $3 a plug

Now the car drives great, very smooth!

Thanks for everyones advice on this board!
