Johnson - thanks for the follow-up - sounds like the 2x4 solution is key to weight distribution on the oil pan.
Can you tell me exactly where you jacked up the car and where you put the jack stands? It seems that you can use the front-center point (at tow hook) to get the fron tof the car in the air, and then use the two jack points behind the front wheels for your stands. Thoughts?
