who thinks this is a less than stellar design. It is very derivative and just a me-too design. Yawn.
What's up with all the small greenhouses on cars these days? Don't the design schools teach that certain ratios and proportions of window to body shape and size are critical to eye appeal? I'll withhold judgement until this model sees the light of day, but based on these pictures I wouldn't buy one.
I look at cars with small greenhouses and the first thing I think is "ugly" and the next thing I think of is "lousy visibility" for drivers and passengers. For drivers this means less awareness of what's happening around you, which means the car is not as safe--because you can hit (or be hit) by what you can't see.
And just because a car is distinctive doesn't make it a good design. Witness the Pontiac Aztec, or the current crop of gangsta-mobiles from Chrysler. Those are a waste of sheet metal.
Which raises the question: why are there so few really good-looking cars these days?
