No it is no replacement, and I think it is silly... That cell phone companies are turning off their analog, I pouposly have kept a Trimode phone (one band analog, two bands of digital signal) around for when I go backpacking/camping/mountain climbing so I have a chance of having cell service, I was at the top of a 1200 foot mountain a few weeks ago, and had signal and was able to call my girlfriend and my dad could call my mom to tell them we had made it. it was analog, and weak, but we were able to make the call. The fcc is alowing them to turn off the analog, not making them replace the analog in those same areas, so my chance of having service at the top of a mountain is nothing anymore. So I feel your pain on that level. I guess I was just trying to find some sliver lining to it all, and one that would work with the ipod solutions everybody cares about. (when the new set up comes out I will be pulling my old bluetooth car kit, and replacing it with the one that can do music too.)
