at least I think so, no only does it give a slight boost in performance, it is way cheaper... I bought it for 80 bucks, and cleaning kit from autozone for 10, and I have been able to use the cleaning kit 3 times now, and will be using it a 4th time on my brothers jeep, which also has a K&N filter on it. so that is basically 5 filters, at 20 bucks a piece I have already saved myself 10 bucks, and I will probably get another use or two out of my kit. so in the long run it is much cheaper. and to have people stare at me when they hear the turbo spin up and relase makes it just that much cooler!
