check level, when last fluid change?

If the fluid level is low, it could cause a delay when cold. (lower volume + more viscous when cold = takes longer for the pump to bring up the pressure)

also its a good idea to be more proactive about changing the fluid than the manual suggests. plenty of suggestions on the board on this. Personally I do drain-fill-drive-repeat technique, but you should read up and do what you feel comfortable with.

but do use the correct fluid as pointed out by other posters.
