She's awaiting auction (I think!?) - Fought with Gecko adjusters all week.
You guys may have a good point about the salvage parting out idea, but I have no place to store the vehicle or work on it.

The tires were the one thing the adjuster was actually helpful with -- basically said she couldn't pay the ACV of new tires. I asked her if I had a better chance of getting my $$$ back by selling the tires and she kinda gave me the high sign.

Luckily there was a great used tire yard about 1/8 of a mile from the body shop where the car was. Paid $125 cash for 4 good tires and the body shop mounted them for FREE. Now somebody needs to buy them.

No one emailed so I only grabbed a few things:

Both badges

Rear center armrest (the whole assy)

AERO letters: An instant AERO upgrade package for ARC and Linear 9-5s Step one: Affix "A" Step 2: Affix "E".....)

OEM Cargo Net

Lighter Inserts (2)

That stupid plastic mounting plate for the TERK XM Commander - Only available from SAAB.

Both of the trunk arm/piston things

The leather gearshift boot

Both front and rear license plate holders

I didn't really think about the SID, the visors or the Xenon assy. Next time my car gets totalled, email me and remind me.

Oh I also have the data plate that was glued to the driver's door. Why? Because the original door was crushed at 6,400 miles by another at-fault driver. Had to replace the entire door shell.

I still have to put my DV claim together for that one, too. Luckily Gecko didn't find any signs of the repair -- it likely would've lowered my ACV.

So don't believe Carfax - there wasn't a word about the incident or the 3k repair work in the reports that Gecko and CCC pulled on my VIN.


Oh yeah, lighten up folks.
If we didn't love our cars -- we wouldn't be wasting our spare time reading and writing about them, would we?
