The check engine light (CEL) on my 99 9-5 wagon (2.4LT) appeard. My indie replaced the temperature sensor and all was well. All codes cleared. After a few hundred miles the CEL appeared again. On both occations the CEL appeared after the temperature gage became inoperative, that is the reading went to "cold", even though the car had achieved normal operating temp. We suspected the replacement sensor may have been faulty and replaced it again. All was well and all codes cleared. Now the CEL appeared again. The temp gage also recorded "cold" prior to the CEL light coming on. I continued to drive the car and now the CEL light has gone out. Any thoughts of what is goin on?
