it controls the Alarm and A/C. but you are going to have to address the issue somehow. you have some options:

- take it to a dealer ~500
- buy a new alarm module & easy DIY ~350
- buy new batteries for the alarm module & more involved DIY ~$30

you can also:
- have your dealer or indy disable the alarm with a Tech II
- have your dealer set the alarm function to use the horn instead of the "chirper"

There may be other options as well. I am in the same situation & going to try to replace the batteries.
