SID repair -> transmission failure light -> all OK

Just thought this might help some people out there with the same problem.
I sent my SID out to Guy for repair, had the same problem as everybody else, pixels were out to the point where I couldn't really use it for anything.
(my car is a Linear 9-5 from 2003, with the "manual" paddles on the steering wheel)
I knew that the steering wheel radio buttons will be out, as will be the horn. What I didn't know is that (presumably, other opinions wanted!) the transmission will give a failure light when you try to move the car without the SID. This light, as observed before on this board by Steve, I believe, stays on when you put the SID back in. However, after having my oil changed and starting it a few times in the process (three times), the light went off by itself.
Any more observations? Thoughts?
By the way, the SID that Guy repaired works perfectly, all pixels back!
