But is it acceptable? honestly, no its not. I love the car but really, there is no excuse to replace a TB so frequently.
and I cant blame it on GM. My Bonneville has 280k on the original TB and my daughter's olds has 230k on the original TB. they both have original pulleys too <shrug>
as I said, I love the car and figure its just the cost of admission. my aero has 67k on it ... I clean the TB as often as I think about it and just hope for the best. I don't know if cleaning will extend the life but its worth a shot.
BTW dip: about your throttle position sensor, is that separately replaceable as on most cars? A TPS is generally an easy and inexpensive fix.
