you can search for more info on this board, search for p1300 and p0300 to find the proper codes.
a few thoughts:
- these codes indicate misfires and that could indicate a slowly dying DIC.
- get your engine management software updated to the latest. while it may not solve the problem it could help in diagnosis.
- flashing CEL indicates an event that can be damaging to your catalytic converter. so you should drive as little as possible if the CEL is flashing. misfires like this can send unburnt fuel out the exhaust and that will cook your cat.
- I do not know if your car is covered under the DIC recall, but if not keep all your documentation since it might be covered in the near future. If the recall is expanded to include your car, you will be reimbursed. (its already been expanded at least once)
- do you have the proper NGK spark plugs? the proper NGK plugs are critical for proper operation of the ignition system on these cars
- check and listen for vacuum leaks, these codes have popped up as a result of vac leaks on occasion.
- I know of at least one case where a failing CKP was causing these symptoms and codes.
these problems are almost always tricky and frustrating to diagnose. I hope your dealer is a good problem solver.
