I havre an '03 Aero with 51K on it and a manual transmission. I'm the original owner and it went out of warranty a few weeks ago. It's been a great car. I had a couple of fairly minor glitches -- wiper sensor and CPS early on -- and had a new steering column put in under warranty. Other than that, solid and reliable. I change the synth oil too frequently, but it's cheap insurance. The paint, leather, everything has held up very well. It looks and drives just as it did when I picked it up.
The engine is a little rough at idle compared to the sewing machine Japanese competition. It's a little slow off the line in 1st, but once the turbo spools up, with takes just fractions of a second, it's a high-torque rocket.
This is the best car I ever had for long trips. You just don't get tired. It's fast, stable, quiet, fantastic seats and around 30 mpg at 80 mph. Best of all, they have low resale so as used cars they're the best deal out there. Just have an indy check for sludge. If you buy a CPO'ed car from a dealer there is an 8-year sludge warranty.
