If I were a betting man, I'd say a 2000 9 5 with TCS/ABS light on is probably one issue. The check engine light is probably another. The shock is probably a third.
Brace yourself. There's good news and bad news.
Your ABS module is probably shot. It's a $2500 replacement part - but only crazy people with a lot of money buy a new part. You can have it rebuilt for about $300. There are a number of threads about this on the board. Pulling the module is a reasonably easy DIY job for even the most hesitant screwdriver users. You can cover the bay where the module plugs in (its in the engine compartment) with plastic to keep it dry, and drive the car while the module is being rebuilt.
This problem is common, and seems to be somewhat unique to the yr2000. Don't get discouraged though. With the rebuild being a reasonably inexpensive repair and great instructions to help you through the process, it should end up being only mildly irritating. A link to step-by-step instructions is below.
The shop will read the codes from the computer that are kicking the CEL (check engine light). No good way to now what it is without having the code.
The shock is just a wear item that needs to be replaced.
Good luck - post back again when you know for sure.
