You have my sympathy.
Replacement of the bulb is easy enough....once you have the unit out. It usually takes me about 2 hours from start to finish. I imagine that an experienced Tech could do it in an hour. A dealer could very well hose you for a couple of hours of labor.
The bulbs may run you $2.00 - $5.00 each depending on the dealers profit goals.
Actually, this is a relatively easy DIY job...with the potential for saving a couple of hundred dollars.
I don't know whether I'd go crazy replacing a lot of bulbs at $5.00 each. It's unusual for one to burn out. I've never had one go even after 270K miles on my 2000 9-5 Aero.
