Nope, not in Va. To be honest the dealer sold it to me illegally without me realizing it. First, it didn't pass safety inspection, and they should have peeled the sticker off as soon as it went into their shop, whether it were going to pass or not. Technically it has a dead inspection, but no cop will know that because I still have a sticker that's good until October. In VA it is unarguably illegal for a licensed dealer to sell a vehicle that does not pass inspection, no matter what agreement is made between the two parties.
My father threw a nice like $h*t-fit when it died, and basically wanted to blackmail the dealer to get my money back... Fortunately I found you guys, realized the Speedo and stuff is easy to fix, and looked at a few threads that indicate my problem should not be more than $500 to fix (just getting it started, ABS module comes later).
I only had about 3 minutes after school and before work to look at what I could while the car was on the trailer. I noticed there is an open tube coming off my TB... I don't know where the hell that vacuum line goes but I'm taking a picture tomorrow to find out where to run a vacuum line to/from... that may completely solve my problem or starting. %&*#'ing dealer mechanic... =\
