I just got back from NAPA with a big can of R134-a with a hose and a gauge on it. I am assuming from reading previous posts that the low pressure port on my 2001 V6 should be behind the passenger headlight, right? Any advice on getting that bugger out of there? I had lots of trouble trying to get it out and gave up; didn't want to break anything. Lots of people are mentioning the sight glass leaking so I figured I would start out with a looksee there. Only problem is... I have no idea where it is and the WIS isn't too descriptive about servicing the AC system without a machine to hook onto the high pressure port. As for adding coolant, how does that work? There's a gauge so obviously plug it in and see where the gauge reads. But the can just says "remove can when empty." What if the system fills up before the can empties. It seems like one of those cans that you break open and then can't close. I have no experience whatsoever with this kind of stuff so it would be really helpful if someone here could be as descriptive as possible, if that's not asking too much. Thanks in advance.
