Well, I'm impressed Posted by swede-murphy [Email] (#6) [Profile/Gallery] (more from swede-murphy) on Thu, 17 May 2007 18:26:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I posted a couple of weeks ago about my "new to me" 04 Aero. I had to deal at long distance, and so had the car checked out at a dealership in Denver. Going over some papers I just received in the mail, the total cost was $99 for the inspection. However, while they had the car (still 6 months and 5000 miles on warrenty) they changed oil, filter, air filter. On top of that the "tech noticed a small oil leak at front of engine and he could not set the clock." So New SID, new water pump, new front seal, a bunch of O-rings and gaskets (including turbo and intercooler), timing chain cover gasket, new oil pick up, oil pan gasket and so on. Looks like they replaced every gasket they thought might be responsible for the small oil leak. I know the pessimists among you will like think they are just padding their bill to Saab USA, but I am impressed that they took care of a lot of small stuff on their own initiative, stuff I would have had to discover and make the long trek to get it fixed.
