Saab 95, Arc, 2002, 49K miles
The car had been running somewhat sluggish for a month or so. Last week all of a sudden the CEL light comes on, have the code checked, it said P0134 O2 sensor, no activity (bank1 sensor1). Got the code cleared but it came back on in 2-3 miles or so. So yesterday I called the dealer and took it to them. P0134 again, they go ahead and change the O2 sensor, plus advise to raplce the spark plugs and engine air filter to get rid of sluggishness. OK'd the job and came up with a damage of ~$600. However, the car drove OK for about a day or so (dealership to home and from home to work next day) before the CEL light came back on. My guess is its going to be P0134 again.
Any insights into the problem will be really appreciated.
My experience with this car has been nothing but bad. As long as it was under warranty, everything was hunky-dory, the day warranty expired, problems started. First with the DI cassettes, coolant bypass valve, coolant temp. sensor, and all this in little over a year.
I had been planning to get another Saab for my second car but now I am almost 80% sure that i won't.
Regards,
Vishnu
