Any Ann Arbor 9-5ers? Posted by Andrew [Email] (#1013) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andrew) on Thu, 31 May 2007 06:40:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm trying to figure out if my radio reception is "normal" or "bad"... and my efforts to find another 9-5 with owner in a parking lot have not been successful (I guess I would not make it as a stalker!).
I have a hard time picking up the Detroit and Toledo FM stations and I lose Ann Arbor's 107.1 on 94 right about at the airport. Any better for all of you? For reference, even on the East side of town, I can't really pick up 93.9, 88.7 or 96.3 from Detroit or 101.5 from Toledo. In my previous vehicle (a Grand Cherokee with a whip antenna), I could pick up all of those with good clarity. Even in my other car, an '86 Alfa Spider with a disconnected window antenna (it needs to be re-soldered), I can pick up 93.9 and sometimes 88.7 in Ann Arbor.
So... I'm thinking something is wrong with my 9-5. Anyone else out there able to answer my question? Even if you don't listen to those stations, do you mind switching over to one for a few minutes to see how your reception is? Occasionally, I'll get a good signal... but 20 feet later, it'll be static.
For what it's worth, I have a 2004 Arc sedan. I was going to go to the dealership to compare, but I figure the new radio in '07s might have better or different signal amplification.
Thanks!!
