I noticed that my 9-5 idled at about 15 psi so I ran an engine flush just after I drained and filled my transmission. I drained the oil, replaced the plug, and ran in for dinner. When I came out I refitted the filter and started the car up. I can't believe I did it.
The car couldn't have idled more than 10-15 seconds max before I realized what happened. The only oil it had was from prior to the flush and what I poured into the filter.
With oil and Syntec 5W-50 it now idles at 25 PSI..
Did I do any damage, or just the equavilent of a month of dry starts?
