Well - I have wanted a Saab for a long time ... and just now finally bought one ! Not your typical purchase though. Bought a black, 2005 9-5 ARC w/20,000 miles ... that was salvaged due to flood. Price paid was $7200. The car is in reasonably nice shape - will defintely need to remove seats and carpet to dry it out. The motor is not running. The only electrical devices found not to operate are both electric seat motors. The SID does not display any error messages when the key is turned on - no check engine lights. Car will turn over but not start. Mechanic says there is no spark and no injector pulse. So, after countless hours searching this site - the main culprit I can think of would be the CPS, Crank Position Sensor. Also, the salvage dealer I bought the car from says that 50% of flood Saabs need the Anti-theft Device computer (under the seat) replaced .. as they often go bad in a flood. Might anyone have any thoughts about what items to start trouble shooting - to get this car running ? Thoughts on the Anti-theft module preventing the car from starting. Thanks in advance for any help, Brian.

Update - mechanic has seat removed, removed and disassembled TWICE module and found it corroded. Will need a replacement - any suggestions for locating one ?
