I was going to get my safety recall(retaining tabs), 50k service and some warranty work taken care of this week, but was shocked when they quoted me $225+ for just the 50k service...
I have an 2002 Aero and read many posts that quoted $60-$100 for this exact service. When I asked why the high cost he said the throttle body needed to be flushed/cleaned plus the usual maintenance. (oil change, etc) I checked my manual and saw no such service. Is this a new service that isn’t in the manual, or is my Saab dealer trying to rip me off??? Should I just get the recall and warranty work done at Saab and have the service performed at a reputable Saab mechanic for $60? Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.
